Abstract:
This study aimed to examine the influence of University environmental factors on the academic performance of student at tertiary level in faculty of education in both Khartoum University and Al-Imam Al-Mahadi University Environmental factors affect student’s performance either positively or negatively. A questionnaire was designed as tool for data collections two questionnaires were designed one for teachers and one for students. Teachers questionnaire was distributed to EFL teachers and student’s questionnaire was distributed to first year students study at faculties of Education in Khartoum University and Al-Imam Al-MahadiUniversity.The SPSS program (Statistical Pacackage for Social Sciences) was used for data analysis The statistical analysis for the results of the questionnaire showed that University environmental factors greatly affects the academic performance of the students at tertiary level. The results also showed that such factors affect students motivation based on the findings of the study, the study recommends that faculties of education should employ strategies that enhance University environment to achieve high academic performance.A descriptive analytical and expermental method was used for data collection.The study recommends that the government should be involved in making good environment.
