Abstract:
This study is analytic and descriptive study done in the Gazira state-Managil locality-ELhuda City in period from December 2018 to March 2019 to evaluate first trimester pregnancy with vaginal bleeding by using gray scale ultrasound .
The main purpose of this study is to determine the causes of first trimester vaginal bleeding and to correlate between Maternal age, Gravidity , Para of the patient and ultrasound findings . this study used international protocol in ultrasound for first trimester pregnancy, 60 patients with vaginal bleeding were randomly selected and scanned with trans abdominal sonography by using 4.5MHz probe , there age ranged from 18 to 45years ,the patients who hasn,t vaginal bleeding were excluded, ,and the data collected from requests . data collection sheet was analyzed by using SPSS program and statistical method to identify the relationship between different variables.
Regarding the age of patients ,the result showed that the common risk in 28-37 years age grouping of pregnant women with 46.7% ,with gravidity is common in(PG_G6) with 41.7% , and with para in( 0_3 ) 71.7%), the study denote that the different types of abortions constituted the commonest cause of first trimester bleeding . the mean GA was 9.23 weeks .
The study found the intrauterine fetal demise(missed abortion)is the commonest cause of vaginal bleeding (17 cases with 28.3%), anemberyonic sac in 16 cases with 26.7%,incomplete abortion in 14cases with 23.3%,complete abortion in10 cases with 16.7%,early normal pregnancy in 3 cases with 5%
This study is limited and it can be as aguideline for further studies ,which should be applied.
