Abstract:
In this study, Peanuts and Groundnut Cake residues (agricultural waste) were combusted using Nd: YAG laser to produce a high valuable materials.
The samples were burned using the heat and pressure of the Nd: YAG laser with output power 40 W for 30 second, the samples and the produced materials were then characterized using FTIR spectroscopy, XRF, EDX and XRD.
FTIR results showed a lot of functional groups such as amide groups and SiO bonds, most of these groups were lost after burning process.
The elemental analysis before burning was carried out using XRF and EDX used after burning, it confirms the results of FTIR and XRD. XRD results showed the presence of Silica, Calcium silicate hydrate, silicon oxide nitride and ammonia.
