The purpose of the project is to generate pulse width modulation (P.W M) signals satisfied to drive 3-phase induction motor efficiently. I go through the fundamentals and principle of generating P.WM signal using computer aided program simulation package (ORCAD). The results of simulation were obtained beside harmonic contents of the different P.WM signals Then after I used microcontroller application program “Assembly Language” to implement and create the same signal out put as that generated by discrete components. The ideal three phase induction motor switching pattern inverter signal is derived known as centre aligned pulse width modulation (CAPWM), which is as already recently applied in modern international industrial companies, that produces variable speed drive. I step forward in creating of generating PWM signal by technique of increment, decrement of pulses ((space vector time weighted pulses)). The power electronic drive circuit, snubber circuit and power component MOSFET, BJT, IGBT, and diode, with their characteristic, were taken, in additional to introduction of integrated power module. The microcontroller (ATMEL) shows flexibility and capability in generating signalsen_US
