The Role Of Magnetic Resonance Imaging In Urinary Tract Obstruction

Abstract

In this study the reacher assessed the efficiency of MRU in the evaluate and detecte the level of urinary tract obstruction. This study was conducte at MRI department in khartoum advanced diagnostic centre (KADC), extended from April 2005 up to November 2005. This study contains five chapters. Chapter one consists of introdution and reseach proposal which consists of objective of the study, hypothesis, important of the study, methodology and the scope of the study. Chapter two is a literature review, which consists of an anatomy, physiology and pathology of the urinary system,MRU appearance, equipment and general abdomenal technique. Chapter three deal with the material, method and films evaluation. Which consists of patients (40) are examined by MRI machine (Philips) and technique which is performed to detect the level of urinary tract obstruction. Chapter four consists of results and data analysis. Chapter five consists of discussion, conclusion and recommendations. It can be said that the MRU technique when performed and used as essential technique to detect the level of urinary tract 7 obstruction that help to obtain accurate daignosis and demonstrate the pathological changes and anatomical variation.
