Abstract

This four-chapter study aims at investigating the political aspect of Najeeb Alkailani‘s novels. The first chapter introduces Alkailani‘s biography. The second chapter contains the political implications of his novels. The third chapter tackles the artistic structure of his political novels, while the last chapter sheds lights on his style. The conclusion summarizes the content of the study in addition to the following results: - 1- Environment has a clear impact on Alkailani‘s character building and it has been reflected in his literary contribution. 2- He has placed importance on the political novel; therefore, most of his novels preach political views. 3- The historical content has gained a wide ground in his novels. 4- He has emphasized in his novels that a political system, which is capable of safe guarding human rights and freedom, cannot be established under occupation or in autocratic rule in which expression of opinion is grave crime. 5- He is much concerned with portraying of women in his novels. 6- He has made use of his novels in influencing and directing and he has made them as a means of indirect orientation. 7- He has exploited the modern techniques in novel such as: monologue, diary-notes, flashes back, prediction and use of documents. 8- Certainly, the researcher can state that Alkailani has attained the sublime status among his counter parts due to mastering of his artistic tools and his ability to convey his views.
