Abstract

The main objective of the study was to find out the impact of the participation of beneficiares in various programme activties dealing with R.D.S.K project, to raise the capacity bulding of participants to maximize the utility of resources to achieve objectives. Social survey and case study were used in this research. Rashad locality was selected for the study, Because of the great homogenity among the target groups according to the farms size and the field's crops, besides the highly co-operative spirit and shouldering among the society. Which contributed in reveilling the role of participation to carry out the development activities.where primary and secondary data was obtained. The research data was obtained from stratum randum samplings, where 100 persons selected out of 358 beneficiares. Percentages and freguencies were used as statistical methods. xviii The study reveiled the following results:- - Participation in training developes the efficiency of knowledge and abilities of beneficiares and participants performance after training was highly up graded (86%). - 99% of the respondents attended meetings of the programme and the beneficiares benefited from their participation (100%). - 98% of the respondents participated in development committee meetings and all have benefit from that. - 100% of the respondents participated on initiatives of local societies by monetary support and manual effort. - 71% of the respondents participeted in all kinds of participation dealing with community initiatives. Recommendations:- Based on the study findings, the researcher recommends for R.D.S.K project as the followings:- - Continuation of the training programme to targeted groups mainly the three development committee officers. xix -Training of development commttee's officer is deputies. - To sustain local community initiatives to build and maintain, community service units like health centers, educational and social units, the governments should supply these units with the needed working staff and some budgetary support. -establishing the credit department to be responsible towards the targeted groups. - for further studies the researcher recommends to study the impact of the hand tools and improved seeds grant, on how far can beneficiares be encouraged to participate in community development activities. xx
