The Proportions of A Vertical Axis Wind Turbine

Abstract

The wind turbines are used to extract the wind energy and convert it to other form of energy like mechanical energy or electrical energy. In Europe and north America the wind energy is widely applied in their every day needs. In Sudan until now the wind energy is not utilized. In this research the investigated is concentrated Savonuin vertical axis wind turbine for pumping water in remote areas where energy is raise. An example is takes as areas in north of Sudan ground water is available and energy of the wind favorable. The proportions of the pumps are calculated to raise water needed for the population of small village.
