dc.description.abstractThe study is to asses solid waste management in khartoum that is concerned about defining waste and waste generation at source, forming different types of waste, means of collecting the waste and the hazard accompaning this process, not forgetting to mention the idea of segregation which is not given the attention, although it is step number one in waste management, and considers getting rid of waste which have stages of treatment and disposal,and in the last chapter khartoum Town taken as a case-study,to see how the above stages of waste management are applied here in Sudan. Summary of the study are concluded from the analysis of the data collected by the questionares distributed in khartoum Town to help making more better policy for waste management in Sudan.en_US
