dc.description.abstractThis research is a translation of the book “Sudan, land of Opportunitiess, Facts and Figures” published by the Ministry of Information in 2011. It contains basic facts and information about Sudan, according to a new approach that reflects an image of Sudan to the world in term of its people, land, resources, history, past & present, and hopes in the future. In addition that it informs the coming Generations about their home land. The researcher translated the second part of the book "Sudan, land of opportunity", dealing with five main axis's starting from the telecommunications sector, ports, Sudanese armed forces, Sudanese parliament, women in Sudan, agriculture and banking sector. Telecommunications sector, it is a modern one in Sudan, which is regarded the first country in Africa and second in the Middle East; it is the most important and effective entrance which can create overall development of the country as well as it increases the importance of Sudan vast land of opportunities and unlimited capabilities to the abundance of arable land and man power. Moreover, it tackled Sudanese Armed Forces, its divisions, and the various stages of Sudanese Parliament, the role which successive governments have played and the role of women in Sudan. One part of the book focuses on agriculture. It represents the pioneer sector in Sudan that the State depends upon. It is an agricultural projects and investment system, which is an opportunity for local and foreign investors. Finally, it handles the banking sector according to the international standards.en_US
