Étude Sociolinguistique de Classes Sociales dans l’État de Khartoum

Abstract

This study aims primarily to compare between different layers of the society in Khartoum State, the research studies the relationship between language and society. To achieve this goal, the research used a descriptive, statistical, and analytical approach. The researcher covers many language aspects in this study such as: vocabulary used, grammar, morphological and syntactic structure. This study consists of three chapters. The first one explores the geographical and linguistic situation in the Sudan and the linguistic variation. The second one explains some of the terminologies used in the study. In the third chapter, we compared the difference layers of the society and linguistic variation accordingly in Khartoum State by illustrating them many examples in Sudanese dialectal Arabic translates a in French language.
