| Abstract: | This is a descriptive cross sectional study conducted to obtain information about The frequency of Syphilis among blood donors attending National public health laboratory in Khartoum state, one hundred are family donors and the other 100 are voluntary ones, throughout the period from MAY 2013 till August 2013. Blood samples were collected from 200 donors from National public health laboratory in Khartoum state. Patients were divided into four groups G1 (20-30) (53.7%), G2 (31.40) (30.1), G3 (41-50) (11.3%), G4 (51-60) (4.9%) from total population,by ELISA thirteen (13) found positive. Infection rate was in G1 7/13(53.8%), G2 4/13 (30.8%), G3 2/13 (15.4%), and none of the donors were infected in the age 51-60 years. The result showed that 8 were from family and 5 were voluntary donors.. |
