Computer Based Identity Card Design

Abstract

The identity card is very important for governments, organizations and people. So, it is necessary to create and improve the identity cards that are highly secured and easy to use. The electronic card or (smart card) gives the people good services. It helps the management to specify the authentication for any person. This work is an electronic identity card with its reader. The reader connected to personal computer. The personal computer manages the reader by a program. The electronic identity card consists of memory chip. This chip saves the identity of its carrier. The reader consists of buffers used to transfer the identity data to the computer. The program was designed to verify the password. If the user is authorized, the program displays the content of the card, but if the user is not authorized, the program displays error message. The program gives the user three attempts to input the correct password. The result of the project proves its ability to verify the password and display the content of the card. The program works with easiness and considerable speed.
