Abstract: MIMO-OFDM is a key technology for next-generation cellular communications (3GPP-LTE, Mobile WiMAX, IMT-Advanced) as well as wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11n), wireless PAN (MB-OFDM), and broadcasting (DAB, DVB, and DMB). The techniques of MIMO OFDM in theorems and practical experiments are solved the problems of data rate and throughput for wireless transmission. This research provides comprehensive introduction to the basic theory and practice of wireless channel modeling, MIMO and OFDM, with MATLAB® programs to simulate the underlying techniques on MIMO-OFDM systems. This project is primarily wrote for engineers and researchers who are interested in learning various MIMO-OFDM techniques and applying them to wireless communications. In this project, we are modeling MIMO OFDM according to the mathematical equations of transmitter, receiver, channel estimations and general characteristic. Then we are determining the capability and flexibility according to the throughput and Bit Error Rate (BER). The models depend on Shannon channel capacity equation and the spectral efficiency. The models achieve the throughput checking and Bit Error Rate [BER] based on the different parameters according to the number of multi carriers, transmit and receive antennas.
