Abstract

This study was carried out to assess the relation ship between personal, social, economic and cultural characteristics of Rubkona Community Farm beneficiaries. The research was curried in Rubkona & Bantio city , because most of Community Farm beneficiaries were from those cities , and the study covered some areas around Rubkona because the Community Farm products have easy access those areas through marketing unit and selling centers in those areas ( Higlig , Mojlad , Omadara , Kharasana ) . The researcher randomly selected 60 respondents out of a population of 200 beneficiaries ( 60 poultry beneficiaries , 104 vegetable producers , 36 selling centers, contractors ) . A questionnaire was designed and used to collect the research data which then was tabulated and statistically analyzed , the researcher used statistical tools of ( SPSS ) , Cross Tabulation , percentage analysis to test the significance of the hypothesis . The study revealed the following results:- The Agricultural Extension is very important on settlement for peace and development . The Community Farm members expressed that they were feeling happy to join it for many purposes:- · The local communities respect them. · The Community Farm supports and creates chances for them to increase their income. · Fore safety & security. 1- The majority of respondents ( 97.33 % ) said that they enjoyed the member ship of Community Farm for social & economic benefits . 2- All respondents were at the age – bracket of (17 – 55) years of age. 3- (48.3 %) of respondents were females. 4- ( 66.67 % ) of respondents read and write Arabic and Nower language because government institutions , NGOs and church implemented literacy education activities in those areas . 5- ( 76.7 %) of respondents were married and their responsibility motivate them to promote their skills and increase their income . 6- ( 93.33%) of respondents were sure that the agricultural extension is very important for peace building . 7- The majority of respondents ( 71.7 %) said that the productive families program is better than casual labor and monthly salary . 8- ( 98.33%) of respondents were planning if their income increase they will use their money in investment and building houses . 9- There is a significant relation ship between respondents social status and joining Community Farm for innovations. 10- (75 % ) of respondents their Yearly income more than (40000) Sudanese Dinars. (ز) Based on the findings above the researcher recommends :- 1- Providing wider education specially adult education for CFmembers. 2- Provide agricultural inputs , redistribute land to the CF recruits .
