| Abstract: | The temperature control is necessary in industrial process, such as control of the temperature of ovens. To avoid unmissrable change that may make problem in the control system. Microcontroller atmega 16 –based system was designed to monitor and control the temperature of an oven. There are several automated control systems (classical and modern), where automated control is necessary , in this thesis microcontroller is used to control the temperature of an oven. Microcontroller which has an input and output ports, control processing unit CPU and memory can be used to control several and efficient control operations. The system is provided with a digital read out liquid crystal display (LCD) to display system temperature. The code is loaded on the memory of the microcontroller which make a comparison between current and set desired temperature that heater stopped in. In –circuit programmer is used to download programs on the chip, with Bascom (Basic language). |
