Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) has gained widespread acceptance as a software process improvement and assessment model, and it has been broadly used for assessing organizational maturity and process capability throughout the world over the past years. Although the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) viewed as too large and expensive to comprehend and implement in small setting because it demands long term commitment, also it required large amounts of objective evidence which make it costly and difficult for small sized enterprises. However in order to conduct the Software Process Assessment (SPA) with few efforts in small enterprises effectively, this research present the tailoring of SCAMPI Assessment method. Proposed method offers a substantial reduction in terms of cost and time compared to formal SCAMPI Method to assess a processes capability. Tailoring of SCAMPI method was include choicesed of CMMI Continuous model, developed CMMI Questionnaire, proposed type of objective evidence (Observation) and tailored the Process Indicator Implementation (PIIs). With automated tool developed to generate the assessment results to facilitate the conduct all assessment activities. Proposed method was evaluated through use of focus group interview and unstructured interview in organization x. So it considered as inexpensive and fast method to assess processes capability which makes it suitable with limited recourses environment.en_US
