Abstract

The main objective of this study was to measure the attitudes of the farmers of Eddamer Province towards the Agricultural extension radio programme Bashier El Khair. 120 respondents were selected by using simple random sampling procedure from 6671 farmers composing the population of the study. Interview questionnaire was designed, developed and implemented by the researcher. Descriptive research method used for this study because it is suitable for it, percentage and Likert’s measure of attitudes were used for analysing. The most important findings of the study were: • The attitude of the respondents towards the broadcasting time of the radio programme Bashier ElKhair were positive. • The attitude of the respondents towards the presenting language of the radio programme Bashier ElKhair were positive. • The attitude of the respondents towards the sufficiency of the farmers involvement in the radio programme Bashier ElKhair were passive. The following recommendations were derived from the above findings: • The broadcasting time of the radio programme Bashier ElKhair should be changed to a suitable one. 7 • Using the same language in presenting the radio programme Bashier ElKhair. • To increase involvement of farmers in the radio programme Bashier ElKhair.
