dc.description.abstractThis Study were intended to assess the thyroid doses for patients during ortho pan tomography (OPG) examinations. The data wich used in this Study was collected from 12 Khartoum Dental hospital, using data sheets, the data has been collected within one month from February 2013 to March 2013.Objectives of the study carried out. To assess the patient exposure for thyroid during Ortho Pan Tomography “OPG” examinations, and to measure patient dose during Ortho Pan Tomography.The results which obtained from this study were: confirm the relationship between thyroid dose and kVp also thyroid dose with BMI, but age of patient doesn’t affected on increase or decrease thyroid dose. This study deal with were previous study which Mortazavi ,et al obtained thyroid dose to kVp 66 (0.72±0.016) and with kVp 68 (0.72±0.019) close to the evrage of study with deferent kVp (0.72±0.019).en_US
