The study contains five chapters. The first chapter includes an introduction to the topic, the statement of the problem, objectives of the research, hypotheses, research questions, importance of the study and the scope of the research. Chapter two surveys literature review; it includes the sounds of English and Arabic language (consonants and vowels), the stress of English and Arabic, English and Arabic intonation, the description and explanation of errors, the classification of errors, the pronunciation problems (the problems with sounds – stress – intonation), and a summary for the chapter. Chapter three deals with the methodology; the population of the test, the sample of the test, the tool that used to collect the data, and a summary for the chapter. Chapter five concludes the research; it contains the results, recommendations and suggestions that might help teachers in improving students’ standard in English in general and its pronunciation in particular.en_US
