Abstract: In this study the researcher evaluated the accuracy of conventional X-ray in the diagnosis of cervical spine disc using MRI as gold standard , because of it’s high efficiency in detection of cervical spine disorders. This study is conducted at king Khalid hospital in Njran, in x-ray and MRI Department. the study take approximately ten month. Random sample of fifty patients, male and females with different ages are suffering from cervical spine disc prolepses. When the researcher applied the accuracy equation for X-ray findings, the researcher found that the accuracy of X-ray was 80% In normal patient is , 100% In patient with upper cervical spine disc prolepses,70% In patient with lower cervical spine disc prolepses and16% In patient with most of cervical spine disc prolepses
