Abstract: The variation of the ventricular system of the brain can be evaluated using Computerized Tomography; where the size of the ventricles can be measured (length and width). The main objective of this study was to evaluate the anatomical variation of normal brain ventricular system in adult Sudanese patient. This study was carried out using CT machines in Military Corps Hospital and Elnilein Medical Diagnostic Centre during the period from September 2012 up to December 2012. The data sample consisted of 50 Sudanese adult patients (33 male, 17 female), their aged group ranged between (20-70) years. The measured dependent variable included: Rt and Lt hemisphere diameters, length and width of the brain ventricles (Rt and Lt) lateral, third (3rd) and fourth (4th) ventricle, certain independent variable included the patient height, weight, head circumference, gender and age. The results of this study showed that the mean size of the ventricle was 9.2±1.2 cm, 9.6±1.1 cm, 1.3±0.2 cm, 1.4±0.3 cm, 0.5±0.1 cm, 0.7±0.1 cm and 1.1±0.1 cm for length of the (Rt and Lt)lateral, width of the (Rt and Lt) lateral, length and width of (3rd) and (4th)ventricles respectively. The researcher used stepwise linear regression analysis to find the significant association between the dependent variable and the independent variable. Concerning the Rt and Lt lateral ventricle length there were a multiple regression association with head circumference, Rt and Lt hemisphere diameters. In respect to the Rt and Lt lateral ventricles width and the 3rd ventricle length there is a linear association with the age of patient only, as well the 3rd ventricle width and the 4th ventricle length were associated with the height of the patient.
