Abstract:	The study aimed to estimate the correlation between placenta thickness and fetal age. The study was done on 56 normal pregnant Sudanese women in 3rd timester . The data used in the study were collected from department of radiology Alrebat National Hospital during 2010 to 2011. The used ultrasound device was (Siemens) Model: 747 492 and Toshiba TA 312 , 3.5 MHZ convex probe. It was found that the placenta thickness increases with gestational age and there is statically significant positive correlation between PT and fetal age. It is recommended making further studies using placenta thickness to estimate fetal age in the second and third trimesters. It is also recommended making them to estimate the fetal age by using placenta thickness with abnormal pregnancies.
