Abstract: This is a case control study carried out in Khartoum state at Gaffer Ibn aouf Pediatric Hospital during the period from July 2013 to October 2013 . Fifty two pediatric diabetic patients were selected for the study group , 20 healthy pediatric were selected as control group .2.5 ml of venous blood was withdrawn from each participant ,placed in a test tube containing EDTA which act as anticoagulant . RBCs, WBCs, PLT, PCV and HB were measured using an automated hematological analyzer (Sysmex 21). The results were analyzed by Statistical Package of social Science Program. The results showed that a significant increase in white blood cells and platelets in value<0.05) and ages groups (2-5) and (10-15)years( p a significant decrease in packed cell volume ,hemoglobin ,mean cell volume, mean cell hemoglobin ,mean cell hemoglobin concentration ,compared to control group in (2-5)age group with ( p value >0.05) .RBCs insignificantly increased from control (p value >0.05) There was no significant deference in hematological parameters of patients compared to control among age group (5-10)years (p value >0.05)in all parameters. The results also showed that there was a significant difference according to sex ,in male and female patients there was a significant increase in white blood cells, platelets, packed cell volume and hemoglobin which decreased significantly (p value <0.05). 5 According to disease onset the results showed that there was no significant difference in most of parameters but hemoglobin of the age group 8-12 increased compared to other groups
