Abstract: ‫‪ABO Blood group system was the first to be recognized and‬‬ ‫.‪remain the most important‬‬ Kell is the one of the most important minor blood group in human erythrocyte. This study was conducted to determine the frequency of Kell -1 and Kell -2 phenotype in Nuba ethnic group. The study was carried out in 100 random samples from Nuba tribe the sample was first tested for the presence of ABO using slide method and for Kell phenotype (Kell -1 and Kell -2) using ID- gel micro – typing technique which contain – coated anti- kell-1 and anti – kell-2 antisera. The samples were collected for volunteer worker in Khartoum area. The result obtained are as follows showing that: The frequency of ABO - Blood group A 30 % - Blood group B 15 % - Blood group O 52 % - Blood group AB 3% - The frequency of Kell1 1% - The frequency of Kell2 100 % The conclusion of the study showed that: The frequencies of ABO were found to be similar to that found in people from African race (Nigerian and Nairobian population) and different in United States and Mexico population. The frequency for Kell1 in Nuba was found to be similar in blacks of United States and Negroes of Brazil, and it was different in Arabian and English population, and Kell2 was found to be similar to Pakistan and English population.
