Abstract: This experiment was conducted at Shambat research station (ARC), during the winter season 2004-2005 in a field infested by halouk (Orobanche ramosa). Four cultivars of tomato (California, Asgro, .Super red and Nigara) were tested for its tolerance to Broomrape The results revealed that all the Cultivars were infected by .Orobanche ramosa The Cultivar Nigara gave the highest yield 9147 kg/feddan, followed by cultivar California 7094 kg/feddan, then cultivar Asgro 6533 kg/feddan and lastly cultivar super red gave 5413 kg/feddan The productivity of the four cultivars used were higher compared to Strain B cultivar which is usually cultivated by farmers in soils infested by Orobanche ramosa, its yield is 2000 kg/feddan in infested soil and 6500 kg/feddan in non infested .soils
