| dc.description.abstract | The flavonoids of the bark of Khaya senegalensis was investigated. Extraction of the barks with 95% ethanol gave a crude product, which was fractionated over silica gel developed with benzene: methanol (4:1). Only a single flavonoid was detected under UV light. The structure of the flavonoid was elucidated on the basis of its spectral data and the following structure was proposed: OCH 3 CHCHO 3 2 CHC 3 O O OCCH 3 O OH O ii OCHC H 2 3 OCH 3 | en_US |
