Abstract: Soldiers limited capabilities in conflict zones have been a point of concern for several years especiallyfor countries with small armies. Soldiers not being able to adapt to all tough conditions may unfortunately lead to losing their lives when it can be saved. Therefore, an electronic system was created to increase soldier’s overall efficiency and to monitor their present conditions. The electronic warfare helmet is an electrically operated helmet that provides soldiers with advanced features that increases their chances of survival and their performance during action. In this study the electronic warfare helmet consists of a thermal هimaging camera that provides seeing capabilities for the surrounding environment according toobjects temperature in it , the thermal images are displayed in a small display attached to the helmet .A night vision camera used for surveillance is attached to the helmet to give the military base informations about what is going on in the warzone during night and day. The soldier’s conditions are monitored using a heartrate sensor to detect his heart pulses for different health conditions, a gas sensor to indicate the existence of hazardous gases in the surrounding area and a GPS system that provides the military base with the solider current location at all circumstances.
