Abstract: This study is about the preliminary assessment of the perceived effect of Business Process Reengineering implementation on the human resource dimensions in Sudanese Electricity Transmission Company (SETCO)). It is a survey research. The target population of the study was the employees of the selected SETCO A sample size of 77 was taken. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics and inferences were made accordingly. Major findings revealed that the effect of BPR implementation in the selected organizations was Positive in most core human resource dimensions (i.e. Employee empowerment, employee mobility and career development) Except (i.e. performance appraisal and reward, compensation) Some recommendations that might enable BPR to be a reliable vehicle in the process of achieving effectiveness and efficiency in public institutions in the long run are presented
