Abstract: The aim of the this study was to investigate the more frequent and less frequent memory strategies used by the Students of Sudanese international schools to remember the new words. A descriptive, analytic approach was adopted. The study sample included 100 students both female and male representing the sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. A questionnaire was used to collect the quantitative data. Findings revealed that repetition, studying the word’s pronunciation and spelling, making an image of the word meaning and connecting the word to a personal experience are the most frequent memory strategies used by the Sudanese international schools students to remember the new words. Findings also indicated that making an image of the word’s form and employing the new word in a sentence are the less frequent memory strategies utilized by the students of the international schools in Sudan to remember the new words
