dc.description.abstractThis research tries to shed light on the difficulties that face Sudanese students regarding the pronunciation of consonant cluster. The data collection took place at the English Department, college of language, Sudan University of Science and Technology the subjects for this study are 40 students in third year, the researcher has used a test as tool of data collection. The problem of the research stemmed out from the fact that Sudanese students who are learning English as a foreign language face problems in learning how to pronounce consonant cluster. The research adopted the descriptive method. The main result is that students encounter problems in in consonant cluster pronunciation. The main recommendation is that, students should study initial and final consonant clusters according to the word stress rules.en_US
