This was descriptive analytic study aim to measure splenic volume in Sudanese population using abdominal computed tomography scan(Toshiba aquilion 64 slices in alzayton specialist hospital) and (Toshiba aquilion 64 slices in royal care hospital) in Khartoum state during the period from February 2018 To June 2018.The study sample included 60 abdominal scan (30 male and 30 female), mean age was 51.8±14.7 years; patients having any splenic disorders were excluded. The patient’s body weight and height were recorded at the time of examination .The measurements of spleen were calculated manually .The average of splenic volume for male 166.33±24.67 cm3and female 198.3±17.54 cm3, the average of splenic volume for all population was 182.12±21.9 cm3.This study provides normative data for evaluating patients with splenic enlargement. The results showed significant difference in two genders, the spleen volume in female higher than spleen volume male and this may due to genetic factor or other reasons. As conclude recommended the radiologist and physician to use the splenic volume in diagnosis the splenic abnormalities. Keywords:measurement, spleen volume and computed tomography.en_US
