Abstract: Chemical Enhaced Oil Recovery (cEOR) can increase the recovery factorfor many oilfields. Heglig oilfield is a suitable candidate for cEOR operationsbut, no study has been implemented to optimize ASP injection and production parameters in only two wells for this field. The field is located at the southeast and middle of Block 2B, Muglad Basin, and it is one of the largest oilfields in Sudan, it has been producing oil since 1999,its oil production was reported to have peaked in 2006, and declined ever since.The field is composed of a sequence of massive and continuous sandstones interceded with shales. The most water production problems in Sudan were observed in this field, and the water cut has reached 95% .This study aimes to study the possibility of increasing the recovery factorandto optimize the cEOR injection and production parameters for a well pair in a sector of Heglig main oilfield. An ASP modelwas studied using a computer simulation software (computer modeling group CMG). The optimization of the ASP flooding increased the cumulative oil production by 0.482 MMbbl and, decreased the cumulative water production by66.3 MMbbl .
