dc.description.abstractUltrasound has come to play an increasing important role in diagnosis and early detection of the most common diseases. Sonography, however, is only one of the several diagnostic methods currently available, easy and cheap. The study will evaluate the thyroid gland and diagnosis by ultrasound method specially the patients of the benign and malignant nodules of thyroid gland. The location of this study took place in Huta Sudir area northern Riyadh city- KSA, the randomly sample is selected (120) patients, from outpatient clinical and admission of Huta Sudir Hospital. The complain of thyroid gland on the anterior neck pain and swelling of anterior neck, the age between (16 – 61) years, after physical, clinically and laboratory send to ultrasound diagnosis all the patients in this study were done ultrasound diagnosis and detecting. The study record during diagnosis ultrasound all this signs as enlarge the size of thyroid gland, change the echogenicity, abnormal appear vassals supply, seen calcification in different features and shown contour or halo shape surround thyroid gland, the above signs are important finding of thyroid gland nodules to decide (benign – malignant) when the malignant to gives accurate diagnosis must take biopsy for histology from the patients to be sure diagnosis.en_US
