dc.description.abstractThis descriptive case study (Experinentel study) was carried out at ultrasound department in new Omdurman hospital (Saudi) and Private Clinical Mayo area. The study aimed at assessing the reliability of FL and HL measurement in predicting gestational age an a predictor of menstrual age, The inclusion criteria: Northern Sudanese Women. Healthy mother and fetus. Singleton pregnancy. Gestational age group (26 weeks-term) verified clinically (L.M.P). The researcherI used in this study; the real time ultrasound equipments with 3.5 MHz probe; include Aloka ssd-500 and Fakuda Deneshi 4000 . The study identified that FL measurement is an accurate method in determing GA in 26 weeks- term pregnancy it is more accurate than HL and mach the international reference closely that there is no significant difference. Prediction to Estimate Expected menstrual age by using FL is found = 0.4714 *FL + 3.415 with an error only ±1.37 weeks . a significant difference found by using HL. The study recommended that the uses of FL measurement in estimating gestational age.en_US
