Study of insecticidal effect of some botanical of (Plant of the mosquito Hplophyllum tuberculatum and Mesquite prosopis juliflora)on(Lesser grain borer Rhizopertha dominica )

Abstract

Laboratory experiment conducted at the College of Agricultural Studies Sudan University of Science and Technology, to evaluate the insecticidal effects of Plant of the mosquito Haplophyllum tuberculatum, mesquite prosopis juliflora. Against lesser grain borer R.dominica. The aqueous extract of each plant were used under three concentrations from each plant (5%, 10%, 15%)-were used in this study. The results showed that the higher concentrations of all tested plants in aqueous formulations gave significantly higher mortality percentage than the control after 24hours of exposure. The highest concentration 15% of H.tuberculatum aqueous extract of all plant parts revealed ( 3.3to6.0 )mortality after 72hours of exposure, whereas, the same concentration of P.juliflora extract gave lowest mortality percentage( 3.1to5.0). Also the experiment showed that all tested plants effects are repellants more than lethal effects, and this effects are disappear with increase of time period.
