Abstract: Title of thesis: The Sources Of Knowledge and Their Impact on Development and Peace (Case Study: South Darfur 2003-2013 model). The significance of this study lies on the fact that knowledge plays a decisive role on the social change that helps in liberating people of the area (at least to a considerable extent) from severe struggles and bloodshed. The study aims at stressing the positive role of peace culture in creating the basis for a permanent development. The study employs the descriptive – analytic method as well as the historical. Some of the important results arrived at are: that there is a clear co-relation between knowledge resources on the one hand and peace, development on the other hand. Also there is a co-relation between sources of knowledge (and information) on the one hand and peace agreements in South Darfur. The thesis recommends that the spreading of peace culture should be emphasized. Also it is recommended that sources of knowledge are to be stressed as a foundation for the establishment of peace and development.
