This is descriptive cross sectional study,The aim of this study to determine the frequency of hepatitis B,C and HIV viruses infection among blood donors attending the Center of nuclear medicine and molecularbiology in Wad Madani Sudan. Two handered blood donors were investigated during the period from april to june 2011. All the doners examined were male, age range from 20-50years. The hepatitis surface antigen(HBsAg)is the main serological marker for hepatitis B virus infection wich are detected among (3.5%) of blood doners using enzyme linked immune sorbent assay (ELISA). Hepatitis C virus (HCV) specific antibody (anti-HCV Abs) was detected among (1.5%) of blood donors, and HIV negative in all doners by using same technique. Donors in age group (20-30) years were found to be the highest infected with viruses in combare to others blood group examined. In all subject examined daul infection with all viruses was not detected, no others risk factor related to previous blood transfution or contaminated surgical eguipment were found.en_US
