Abstract: In this book the writer talked about the characteristics that the Sudan characterized with in terms of uniqueness in its demographic structure, the multi-climates and the other resources. If these gifts were well exploited and developed the Sudan would be a paradise on the earth and the Sudanese would live in welfare. But, what made the Sudan backward within six centuries the state of its sons from the cultured and educated talking a lot in politics, doing well in political know-how for each other, succession of regimes, the short of concept and vision, the negligence of agriculture and industry, the increasing in Sudan foreign debts and the bad exploitation of resources. Then, he talked about the constituents of the failure state and whether they are applied to the Sudan or not, the criteria with which it is measured and the social, economical and political indicators that measure the degree of countries stability. Also, he touched on the mechanisms of going out of failure square and how, the kind of the development we want ,its objectives and how do we achieve. After that he talked about the constituents of the Sudanese economy which he summed it up in the following: 1. The agricultural activity with its two sections the animal the botanical. 2. Industry. 3. Mining. 4. The economical services sector. 5. Tourism. 6. The creative human powers. Then, he talked about the historical trend for the Sudanese economy since independence up to now which its development was fluctuated between the prosperity and deterioration. Finally, he touched on the performance of the Sudanese economy before South separation and the effect of the separation on the Sudanese economy.
