dc.description.abstractThe construction industry in Sudan suffers from many constrains and problems. One of the most problems is that related to the working teams. This research deals with this issue. The research addresses the following problems: 1. Delays in submission of works. 2. Lack of experience and experts. 3. Low productivity. 4. Problems throughout the project lifecycle. These problems were discussed from the concept of teamwork. The research depends on collected data from the field of the industry using a questionnaire as a tool. The sampling process was conducted in scientific and statistical way in a manner to give appropriate representation of the population. The data was tabulated, analyzed and hence interpreted regarding the theoretical part of the research. The research findings are as follows: 1. There are many problems facing the application of teamwork theories in Sudan. 2. The concept of team work should be introduced intensively within the practitioners in the field. 3. Training and educational systems should incorporate the philosophy of team works and team building. 4. The government should establish important roles of the concept of teamwork and leadership to nomination of qualified managers and administrators to lead the institutions in both the public and private sectors. 5. Encouragement of scientific research in the field in order to enhance the current situation.en_US
