| Abstract: | In this research project we studied the theory of Fermi and the standard model of particle physics in some details. We calculated via a theoretically the cross-section of the elastic neutrinoβmuon and electron scattering in the Fermi theory and the standard model and found their values at πΈ=4 πππ to be ππΊπ΄=π.ππΓππβπππππ ππππππ=π.ππΓππβπππππ We have found that the cross-section in SM less than the cross-section in Fermi for a given energy. Furthermore, the Fermi theory breaks down at high energy but the standard model works very well at high energies. |
