dc.description.abstractESP is wide field. It provides academic services for the learners in differences specialization.This research is intended for a design of an ESP syllabus for Hotel and Tourism students of Technological College of Port Sudan. The paper adopted the descriptive analytic method. The data for the paper were collected by means of a questionnaire and analysed statistically as a result of the analysis, it was found that students need English for their specific study to increase their knowledge. They need to study all the four skills of language. They also need a healthy classroom environment. Based on these needs, it is recommended that a suitable syllabus for HT students should be designed in order to enable then satisfy their needs. Designing a syllabus for a certain target learner unquestionably requires a short teacher training phase during which such teachers get acquainted with the syllabus structure, learners basic needs and appropriate ESP classroom methodology and techniques.en_US
