Abstract: Maize [Zea mays L.] or cron is the most important cereal crops in sub sa haran Africa and with rice and wheat one of the three impartant cereal crops in the world .Maiza is high yielding easy to process readiydigested and cheapar than other cereal . it is also a vesatile crop , growing across a range of agricliatological zane . Every part of the maize plant has economic value: the grain, leaves, stalk, and cob can all be used to produce a large variety of food and non – food product . it is grown in Sudan all over the country especially at rivers banks ,but now is gaining importance in livestoch feed and consideered one of the promissing crops in, the sudan. Maize ,like other cereal s ,is fertlizer loving crop. Most of the cultivation expenses go to additiian of different typea of fertilizers..
