This study was conducted at U/S department of two hospitals and three medical centers in Al-Jazeera state in the period from October 2015 – July2016.The main objective of this study is to find out the impact of the uterine fibroids on pregnancy.A sample of 50 pregnant patients with known uterine fibroids were studied for interference of fibroids with the development of the fetus during the course of pregnancy Regular ultrasonic examinations were performed at hospitals and medical centers using transabdomenal scans with curvilinear transducers(3-5MHz) andtransvaginal transducers (7MHz).The diameters of fibroids were measured in three perpendicular plains for each age group and the data of the number, type, location, size and growth patterns of fibroids and the number of previous abortions ormiscarriages were collected and analyzed to showthe influenceof all these findings on the fetus during the course of pregnancy. The study showedthatsome of these findings are associated with complications during the course of pregnancy. No complicationson pregnancy outcome that are associated with the age and size of fibroid during the second and third trimesters, while the number of fibroids, number of previous abortions and the size of fibroid in the first trimester are associated with complications on pregnancy outcome, and the relation between them and having a normal delivery is inverse relationship. Also the type of fibroid had an effect on the pregnancy outcome and the submucosal fibroid took the higher percentage of abortions and complication during pregnancy. Some of these complications are, spontaneous abortion, malpresentaion of the fetus, postpartum hemorrhageen_US
