Some hematological and clinical parameters of Boer Goat In Khartoum State

Abstract

This study was conducted in the center of Animal Production which is located in Hilla Kuku (east Nile) Khartoum state, from March to October, 2016. Thirty female non pregnant, non-lactating Boer goats were randomly selected with an average age (4-7years), and average body weight (35-40) kg. The objective of this study is to determine some hematological and some clinical parameters of Boer goats in Sudan through measurement of some blood constituents: (RBCs count106/μl ) ( (10.22 ± 2.51), hemoglobin concentration (Hb mg/dl) (8.52 ± 1.11), packed cell volume (PCV %)( 24.54 ± 4.88), mean corpuscular volume (MCVfl) ( 38.55 ± 7.73), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH pg ) ( 6.01 ± 0.27)and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC %) (39.13 ± 8.13) and total leukocytes count(TLC103/μl ) (14.44 ± 2.35) and clinical parameters of rectal temperature (RT) (39),respiration rate (RR) (28.30 ± 1.72), pulse rate(PR) (77.80 ± 7.47) and heart rate (HR) (77.40 ± 6.21) were carried out using Assymyx autoanalyzer. Findings from this study showed that both the some hematological and the some clinical parameters measured were in normal range.
