dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is Investigating the Importance of Teaching English Language Culture To Foreign Students. the problem of the study is , many Sudanese universities EFL students who received at least four years of English instruction do not seem to know and recognize how English is used in different global communities. and a large number of students have a little cultural knowledge of English language. The aims of the study are to help students raise their cultural awareness of English. Expose students to culture of English language. Improve students’ fluency to communicate freely and globally. In addition, it intends to Incorporate sociolinguistic activities in the curriculum. the researcher has followed the quantitative analytical method to conduct the study. Only one tool is used for data collection: students' test (St); the sample of the study is fifty students from the fourth level. The results achieved in this study show that the students have little knowledge in English language culture; students do not know how to communicate freely and globally; students have not enough cultural awareness of global English. Students do not differentiate between English language culture and their culture. the researcher recommends that students should extend their knowledge in English language culture; students shouldn't just restrict their study on academic curricula; students should read books which contain culture; students should read books which contains culture, incorporate English language culture in the circilum.en_US
