| Abstract: | The aim of this study is to investigate the difficulties of formulating paragraphs that encountered by the University students in writing essay. The researcher has adopted the descriptive analytic approach to analyze the data collected from study sample. The analysis process has been done by using (SPSS) program where tables of results obtained. The study has reached some findings as follows: Most of students are poor in formulating paragraphs in essay writing exactly the introductory and concluding paragraphs. Based on the results, the researcher recommends the following: EFL learners should be familiar with every step that can be followed to write an essay. Teachers should give their students enough time to practice writing essays. |
