THE IMPACT OF RISK MANAGEMENT ON DECISION – MAKING IN CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS IN SUDAN

Abstract

This research concentrates on aspects of risk management to find the significance of how risk management methods can empower the decision-making of the project managers. According to the experience of the research on the field of construction Industry there is big problem about how to manage risk and how to make decisions, to manage real project, consequently affect the achievement of the base objectives ( cost – time – and quality ) . Researchers have worked hard to develop models and decision support systems to assist decision makers in making decisions in the case of uncertainty. The basic concept of risk management as a process is to take better decisions under conditions of uncertainty remains. This research is not intended as a definitive monograph on risk but as a Guide for practitioners having to manage real projects. This research depends on structuring the theoretical frame from reliable references in order to assist in interpreting results, obtained by the research tool (Questionnaire). The research tool is used to collect data from the research population sample shall be selected statistically .The collected data shall be tabulated, analyzed and interpreted Comprehensive discussion in the light of the theoretical part in order to set general recommendations.
