Abstract: This study aims to investigate pronunciation problem in English encountered by Sudanese learners who are Arabic speakers. In other words the study aimed to specify the problematic sounds, and factors that cause these problems then find some solutions that help the Sudanese students of English to improve their pronunciation. The study included (30) students as ample from Sudan University of science and technology, then two types of tools have been used for data collection. Namely, oral test and observation .The researcher has adopted the descriptive statistical method for data analysis. The study has arrived at following findings: the Sudanese students of English have some problems in pronunciation of English vowels that have more than one way of pronunciation, In addition the consonant sounds have similar sound to that of Arabic .The most important results that have been arrived is the interference between two languages. Pronunciation affect the Sudanese students in learning English effectively .One of the recommendations the researcher suggests that there should be pronunciation lessons.
