dc.description.abstractIn this study the carbon Fiber Reinforcement Polymer (CFRP) on increasing shear capacity of reinforcement concrete deep beams. Different methods of strengthening of structures were used to calculate shear capacity. These methods were ACI, Triantafillou, Carolin and Zhichao. The parameters used in this work were thickness of (CFRP), depth of beam and concrete compressive strength using three configuration of (CFRP) such as fully wrapped, U and two sides wrapped. The design of shear strength were prepared by Microsoft Excel spread sheets for the three configuration of wrapping to study the effect of different parameters on shear capacity of deep beams. It was found for the fully wrapped, ACI method appears to predict the (CFRP) shear contribution with a relatively high discrepancy with respect to Triantafillou, Carolin and Zhichao and Triantafillou method overestimates results of shear capacity for U, or two sides wrapped with respect to ACI Methoden_US
